Signs of submission to God

1.Acceptance of Dua; in this regard, it is narrated from Imam Hassan (AS) who said: I am the guarantor of the Dua of the person who has nothing in his/her heart except the Divine Satisfaction and Gratification [1].

Signs of submission to God

It is also narrated from Imam Sadeq (AS) who said: Whenever a believing servant of God says: “La Houla wa la Qowata Ella Bellah”; meaning, there is no other force or ability except from Allah (SWT)”; God will say to angels: My believing servant submitted to me, grant his/her requests [2].

2.Being satisfied with whatever God has provided for the human being; this gives the human being the spirit of contentment, and such a person never complains to God. In this regard, Imam Sadeq (AS) said: If you are satisfied with what God has given you, you will be self-reliant [3].

3.Attaining Divine Rewards; in this regard, the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) said: You become satisfied in your heart about God (and God’s commands) in order that on the day of poverty and having nothing (the Day of Judgment) you reach Divine Rewards [4].

4.Being satisfied with Divine Destiny; it is narrated that Prophet Moses (AS) said to God: O’ God, guide me to the deed (task) which has your satisfaction in it. And Allah (SWT) revealed to Moses (AS): My satisfaction is that you be satisfied with God’s determined destiny (for God’s servants) [5].

5.Bodily calm; being satisfied with God’s satisfaction firstly leads to calmness of the soul, and then leads to bodily health. In this regard, Imam Ali (AS) said: Whoever is satisfied with God’s given sustenance, his/her body is in tranquillity and comfort [6].
